Silverhawk Art Cards is an outgrowth of Silverhawk Internet Marketing, a presenter of Artists and
Fine Craftsmen on the Internet since 1996.
This is the first endeavor to incorporate a physical element, a collectible item or a key, so to speak to
provide the art lover passage into the the beautiful and enlightening world of the artist.
The artists of Taos, New Mexico have been chosen for this universally available Internet Exhibition because
they live and work in a truly special place. "The Taos Icons" presented here have inherited the legacy of all the
marvelous artists who have settled in the Taos Valley for the last several hundred years.
Once Taos gets into your blood it's impossible to forget. The clarity of the high altitude air and the majesty of the
adjacent Sangre de Christo Mountains have provided the artists not only with scenic beauty to draw upon but also
an atmosphere that inspires their souls to render both representational and non representational works of art.
A few have stumbled into Taos by accident but many artists have made a special quest to come to this land.
For most of these artists it has not been easy and they have had to pay their dues. But all will agree that it is
worth all the trouble to live in a place know as the Enchanted Circle, the heart and soul of New Mexico, the
Land of Enchantment.
The cards may be collected directly from the artists or from their galleries. In addition these cards or the full set
may also be purchased online through the Exhibition web site. The artists share equally with Silverhawk in the
proceeds from the online sales.
To promote the outstanding artists of Taos and thereby promote Taos as the great art center it has
always been.
